OEM Point-Level Sensing Electronics
Application-tuned level detection for liquids and semi-liquids.
EIB Solutions supplies the electronic sensing platform for integration into an OEM’s probe, process fitting and enclosure. Dedicated variants can be configured for water-rich dairy products, fats and oils, and selected hydrocarbon or alcohol-based liquids.
The medium changes the capacitance around the electrode. The electronics evaluate that change and provide a control signal at the defined point level.
Media-Specific Models
Capacitive response depends on the dielectric properties of the material, electrode geometry and installation. EIB configures each electronics variant for a defined product family rather than treating every liquid as identical.
Models for milk and related liquid products with relatively high water content and a correspondingly strong dielectric response.
A separate sensing configuration for lower-dielectric products such as milk fat, butter, ghee and vegetable oils.
Application-specific versions for compatible fuels, solvents and alcohol-based liquids after medium and installation evaluation.
Electronics can be tuned for selected semi-liquid or pasty products, subject to probe design, coating behaviour and validation in the real process.
Operating Principle
The electrode and surrounding vessel or reference structure form a capacitor. When product covers the sensing region, its dielectric properties change the measured capacitance.
The electronics establish the baseline capacitance of the probe and installation without product at the sensing point.
Product entering the sensing zone changes capacitance according to the medium, probe geometry and mounting arrangement.
Application-tuned signal processing distinguishes the required covered and uncovered states.
The configured output communicates product presence or the selected high/low point-level condition to the OEM control system.
Machine Applications
Point-level electronics can support automated filling, product transfer and equipment protection when the complete sensing assembly is properly engineered and validated.
Signal when material reaches a defined maximum level in a vessel.
Identify a minimum level for refill logic or process sequencing.
Provide an independent point signal for the OEM’s overfill-control strategy.
Confirm product presence before operating a pump or transfer stage.
Detect whether compatible process material is present at a defined location in a pipe.
Supply a repeatable switching input for automated batch or transfer equipment.
Clear Integration Boundary
The finished assembly must be engineered around the actual process, medium and regulatory environment.
Important: Detection of petrol, ethanol or other flammable media requires a complete assembly specifically engineered and certified for the installation. The electronics module alone does not constitute hazardous-area approval.
Product Framework
Final electrical and mechanical requirements are agreed from the target medium, electrode arrangement, machine interface and production volume.
Application Review
Share the medium, expected temperature, vessel or pipe material, probe concept, mounting orientation, coating or foam conditions, required output and annual quantity. EIB Solutions can then recommend the appropriate electronics variant and validation plan.
